Thanksgiving!!!

Hey!!
I am SOOOO excited for thanksgiving! We get to miss school, and help run errands.
This year, I'm thankful for living in France. I get to experience stuff that most of the world won't, and I'm thankful for that.

Caen

Hi!!
I went to Caen today. It is an awesome city. I got a cool coat, and a jacket, but the best part was walking by William the Conqueror's castle and all of the really good smells from the restaurants lining the streets.

French Journal Entries

Hi!!
I decided to talk more about France, seeing as I LIVE here. In order to do this, I am going to post my journal entries.
Enjoy!!
November 18th, 2011

I woke up this morning to the quiet vibration of my alarm.
Tired and shaken from bad dreams, I longed to retreat back into sleep. I rolled over and quieted my iPod.
I opened my eyes, and realized I had drifted off again. I checked the time, and my heart skipped a beat.
I leaped out if bed like a deer.

I rushed around, getting ready, preparing for what lay ahead. In such a hurry, I forgot several of the most crucial parts of my mornings.
Sprinting downstairs in hope not to be late, I grabbed a cookie.
I snatched up my sack and jacket and rushed out the door.

My morning was a blur.
Before I even felt slightly awake, I found my self gingerly munching away at some sort of meat I could not name.

Excited for the weekend, I tried to stay conscious for the rest of school that remained.

So how was it?
Do I have any future as a writer?

Back to school supplies

So!! Hi every one! How's school going? Mine is good. Difficult, but good. My school supplies from last year that I am reusing looked a little worn, so I decided to decoupage them!! I Just decoupaged my stylo plume (fountain pen) and it looks great. I also redid Oscars unused soccer agenda and decoupaged my lock to distinguish it. They look great!! My notebooks all have a very faint outline of a lion, and I was thinking that I would cut out a white lion and tape it on, then decoupage that. What do you think?

To decoupage something it is very easy. Or at least, the way I do it is. I begin with some old origami, cutouts from magazines, news paper, almost any kind of paper I can get my hands on. Then, using a glue stick, or liquide glue, or mod podge, I stick the papers to my objects. After that, I am basically finished. For extra support, I usually put a coat of glue on top of the decoupage. You can use your fingers to rub it in, or sponge brushes, or actual sponges. It smoothes it, and keeps paper cuts away. If the corners of my paper start sticking up, a dab of glue on top and bottom will fix that.

My mom likes to mix mod podge with water to make it thinner, and more like paint. then, she puts a coat of it onto her object and it doesn't dry as fast, so she can just set things onto it.

It is easiest to decoupage flat surfaces, but i think it is possible to decoupage anything solid.

ATTENTION!!

Hi Anyone, And Everyone!! Just to let you know, I am gonna start to redo my blog. Now, I am going to be doing stuff on French Fashion, and cool crafts. Thank you for reading!!!

Hey everybody! (and that includes you, and you, and if your nice enough, you.)

Hi everyone!! This is Maude, I'm 12 years old. I decided that since we live in FRANCE, I would change this blog to a blog about France, and our life here. I hope most of you read english, because I cannot write in french yet. I will tell you a little about France now, and if you want to here more, please comment. I do love comments.

The orthodontists don't have very many colors, and if you know me, you know that I love colors. I have been working on my french, and it is really difficile. I think I'm getting better, though. Everyone here seems to have at least 1 cherry tree, or at least everyone around us. The cherries are very good. I am not very open minded about which foods i like and don't like, so at first, I had convinced myself that I hated cherries.
That makes it hard to live in France. School is hard in some ways, such as that we don't understand anything at all, almost. Except in english. We ace that class. Easy things are some teachers let us read while everyone else takes a pop quiz. In technology, they purposely switched the program on our computer to english. In the library, the librarian searched out all of the english or easy french books for us. Everyone in France is very nice.

Pretty Cool

Guess what? I'm at my cousins house. Yeah. I'm that awesome. Guess what else? Tomorrow is my last day of 6th grade at newton middle. Wanna know why? Cause I'm moving to FRANCE. Yeah. Pretty cool. Right this instant, I'm watching a movie. It is pretty cool. I think that anyone with a pet llama is pretty cool, because llama has two l's. TWO! 2 x 2 - 2 = 2!!!!!! Pretty cool. I'm not trying to say that anyone without a llama isn't pretty cool, because everyone is pretty cool on this beautiful colorful planet we call our own. I know a pretty cool word. It is knickknack. Try saying it. Now say it like this: Kuh-nick Kuh-nack. It has 4 k's. Pretty cool!

Reasons

Hi! It's Maude again. I think that from now on, even if I say I'm someone else, I will still be Maude. That is what my blog is called. And it is for a reason. Speaking of reasons, is there any good reason for you to choose whether you like fried chicken better than fried turkey? I say that you should just wait for a reason, unless you think that their is no reason.

Hello!

Hi! I'm Maude. Not May-ude, pronounced Mod as in modern. I think I'm modern, but I don't exactly know the dictionary definition of it. Typing of dictionary definitions, did you know that in the dictionary, dude means a well dressed man? Kinda wierd. . .
